Pasar gran parte del día dentro de la oficina no es motivo para dejar de hacer ejercicio. ¿Sorprendido? Le contamos cómo es posible...
El actual ritmo laboral hace que una gran cantidad de personas pasen casi todo el día encerradas en una oficina, sentadas frente a una computadora.
Cierto es que no es posible hacer gimnasia en estos lugares, pero no menos real es que existen ejercicios que se pueden hacer en o cerca de su escritorio, para de esta forma lograr aumentar los niveles de energía, aliviar el estrés, quemar calorías, y estar mucho más entonados y saludables.
Por cierto, será muy importante que realice estos ejercicios con la mayor discreción, para lo cual será importante que sepa cuáles son los momentos que serían apropiados para realizarlos dentro de su ambiente del trabajo.
Diez ejercicios para la oficina
1. Con los brazos a los costados, dé un paso lo más amplio posible hacia delante con su pierna derecha, hasta que el muslo quede paralelo al piso. Utilizando la misma pierna, regrese a su posición de comienzo. Repita el ejercicio con la pierna izquierda. También podría hacer pequeñas caminatas con este paso de “embestida”.
2. Con la espalda tocando la pared, mueva los pies bien lejos de ella, hasta que la pared sostenga todo el peso de su espalda. Doble las rodillas para que las piernas formen un ángulo de 90 grados. Manténgase en esa postura tanto tiempo como pueda.
3. Párese firmemente frente a una silla, con los pies separados. Doble las rodillas como si se sentara en la silla, cargando el peso de su cuerpo sobre los talones. Cuando sus piernas estén paralelas al asiento de la silla, suba lentamente hasta llegar a la posición original -es decir, cuando estaba parado-.
4. Párese firmemente con los dedos de los pies apuntando directamente hacia delante. Luego, doble lentamente las rodillas en la dirección de los dedos, hasta que no pueda ver más, desde ningún ángulo, esos dedos. Lentamente, regrese a la posición de inicio.
5. Durante el desayuno o los tiempos para el café, intente hacer ejercicios de estiramiento y precalentamiento. Para esto, levante y baje los talones del piso, utilizando su escritorio o un archivador para lograr equilibrio.
6. De vez en cuando, trate de abandonar la postura que mantiene en su box. Para eso, asómese a su vecino, siéntese y párese en su silla, levante y baje los dedos manteniendo los talones en el suelo, levante y baje los talones manteniendo los dedos en el suelo, o dé pequeñas caminatas alrededor de los boxes.
7. Realice ejercicios para los glúteos, sentándose o parándose, y manteniendo apretados por un tiempo los músculos de la cola, para luego relajarlos.
8. Si está sólo, tírese al piso y haga algunos ejercicios abdominales, como apoyar la espalda con las rodillas dobladas para luego intentar tocarlas, contar hasta dos, y luego regresar al piso. Asimismo, permanezca en el piso para hacer otro tipo de abdominales, como por ejemplo con las piernas estiradas o con las piernas sobre un banquito o contra una pared.
9. Con las palmas de las manos en una silla -y de espaldas a ella- y los pies en el piso, vaya bajando la cola hasta el final de la silla (doble los codos, y vaya bajando el cuerpo), para luego poner derechos los brazos y volver a la posición de comienzo.
10. Disminuya la tensión subiendo los hombros, es decir levantándolos incluso hasta las orejas, manteniendo esa posición, y luego relajándolos.
Por último, si no está familiarizado con los ejercicios de entrenamiento, también podría buscar la ayuda de un entrenador personal o de alguien que sepa al respecto, para poder comenzar apropiadamente y no frustrarse en el intento.
Asimismo, consulte siempre a su médico de cabecera antes de comenzar un programa de ejercicios, para evitar sufrir problemas de salud y/o lesiones.
En este último sentido, si utiliza una silla para realizar los ejercicios, asegúrese de escoger una que no tenga ruedas.
Algunas consideraciones
Recuerde que siempre será muy importante que realice antes ejercicios de calentamiento, o bien comience a ejercitar gradualmente.
Asimismo, le sería muy útil usar ropa cómoda -si es que se puede concurrir al trabajo con un look casual-, o bien tener a mano un conjunto deportivo, que podría guardar en una gaveta de la oficina, para cambiarse cuando tenga un tiempito libre para hacer estos ejercicios.
En todos los casos, realice suficientes repeticiones de cada ejercicio hasta sentir algo de fatiga, con el fin de cerciorarse de que los músculos estén trabajando.

Cansancio, falta de sueño, estrés, ansiedad y depresión afectan el estado de alerta, la concentración y alteran los procesos intelectuales, especialmente la memoria reciente. Quienes presentan estos factores sufren olvidos constantes.
